Complete Guide of INKin REVO Tattoo Needles
INKin Revo cartridges include two series: tattoo series(green cartridges) and PMU series (purple cartridges).
Revo has built its name in the industry. This article would give a thorough and complete introduction to the internal structure, usage tips, competitive comparison with other tattoo needles, tattoo artists’ real feedback, and after-sales support provided by INKin on REVO cartridges.
REVO’s Structure
Like every other needle, REVO has a cartridge cap, elastic membrane, stainless steel needles, and a cartridge housing.
What makes REVO special is the plunger guide, which stabilizes the plunger’s up-and-down movement, ensuring smooth and straight motion of the needle.
Cartridge house
The cartridge house helps control ink flow and depth. The cartridge house of REVO is fully transparent green plastic with and waterdrop-shaped window, allowing artists to have maximum visibility. This is especially helpful for detailed work and ink saturation control.
Tattoo Needles
Tattoo needles are the part that punctures the skin and delivers the ink, so INKin carefully selected the material. REVO needles are made of 304 medical-grade Japanese stainless steel. REVO offers 80 configurations, liners, shaders, magnums, and more.
Membrane
The membrane plays the role of preventing ink, blood, or bodily fluids from backflowing, protecting the tattoo machine, and ensuring hygiene. Therefore, the membrane in a cartridge is extremely important. REVO uses a high-resilience, high-stability, safety impermeable membrane.
Plunger rod
REVO’s rods and needles are welded connect, ensuring long-term durability and stability. An artist can get a smooth, uninterrupted operation over longer sessions.
Cartridge Cap
With a special design, INKin REVO’s cap is tight-fitting and cleanly molded to ensure a secure connection every time.
Needles Types
REVO offers 80 configurations, including RL(round liner), RS(round shader), M1(Magnum), and M1C=RM(Curved Magnum/Round Magnum)
Round liner is a tight round grouping, ideal for fine-line work and small details.
Round shader is a kind of looser round grouping, typically used for thicker lines, whip shading, and high-saturation colour fills. This looser grouping helps create softer blends.
Magnum is the classic flat needle configuration, which is designed for smooth shading, edge blending, and building up texture. Artists love these for speed and coverage.
Curved Magnum’s tip forms a gentle arc, giving a softer edge, perfect for smooth gradients and large colour packing. REVO M1C cartridge can last up to 4 to 8 hours of continuous use, depending on the voltage and technique - excellent for full-day sessions. In contrast, REVO round liners basically last around 4 hours of consistent use.
How to Install and Remove a REVO cartridge from the Machine
Installation
- Insert the cartridge connector into the machine and push it all the way in.
- Hold the machine with your right hand and the cartridge tip with your left.
- Rotate counter-clockwise until you hear a “click” which means the cartridge is locked and ready to go. But better test it before using it on human skin. If the cartridge failed to click in, you may get needle jitter or inconsistent performance, so always remind customers to double-check for that click.
Removal
- Hold the machine and grip firmly.
- Rotate clockwise until it loosens, and then simply remove it.
Compare REVO with EZ V-Select
Both V-slect and REVO are professional cartridges, and they actually have a lot in common, including enhanced needle stability and a precision anti-wobble end cap.
Stability and End Cap
EZ V-Select employs a vibration-isolation structure, which reduces shock and gives a smooth feel.
INKin REVO, on the other hand, relies on tighter mechanical tolerance and an engineered plunger guide to reduce movement, so artists get true mechanical stability, not just shock absorption.
Artists who prefer a crisp, responsive feel tend to notice the difference.
Ink Flow
Both V-Select and REVO offer optimized ink flow, but INKin REVO adds an extra advantage. Inside REVO Magnum cartridges, the inner wall of the housing has a special matte texture, which improves ink adhesion and stabilizes ink flow during shading and packing.
This small detail helps reduce splatter and improves consistency in long sessions.
Membrance Technology
EZ V-Select uses a kind of V-System membrane, which is designed to reduce vibration and provide a smooth stroke feel. It works well, and artists who prefer a cushioned stroke often like it.
INKin REVO uses an impermeable, high-elasticity membrane.
It’s specifically built for stable rebound, meaning it returns quickly, doesn’t get soft or fatigued, and maintains performance over long sessions. REVO’s membrane stays tight and responsive even after 3-4 hours of work, while some membranes can become too soft over time.
Both membranes block backflow, while the difference matters most for artists using long stroke machines, fast hand techniques, or those doing long sessions, and REVO is engineered for performance durability. That is where we see many artists switching over.
Spec of REVO
INKin sells 4 different specifications of REVO. They are 6pcs, 10pcs, 20pcs, and 50pcs.
Both 50pcs and 6pcs are mixed configurations. 6pcs is a REVO sample pack for artists who want to try REVO.
Conclusion
INKin REVO is designed specifically to meet artists' needs. It is not only for small pieces but also for large backwork. With heavy backwork, it’s all about needle consistency and flow rate. The plunger guide of REVO ensures the needle runs straight, especially on dense fills or dotwork patterns.
Geometric artists rely on super clean symmetry, and any needle drift will ruin the precision. All artists require ink flow control and clean drop-off in gradients. INKin listened to the real needs and launched REVO.
